Privacy & support

Stonehush is published by tilanka. For support or privacy questions, contact tkdahanayake@gmail.com.

Effective 3 October 2026. This notice covers Stonehush 2.0, including the Android app and stonehush.com. The game has 101 free levels. It has no advertising or analytics SDK, and stone purchases are not available in this version.

Play on this device

You can play every level without an account. Progress, your stone bank, current builds, garden arrangements and their names, game settings, and backups stay on your device unless you choose an online account or export a file. The app does not access your microphone, contacts, camera, or device location. Nature sounds are original sound design, not recordings of your surroundings.

Optional online player accounts

Players aged 13 and over can create a free account to keep verified campaign progress and a stone bank across devices. No real name, email address, or telephone number is required. We generate a player name, an account identifier, and a private player code. The code authenticates your account; our account database stores its hash. Keep the code private: anyone who has it can access or delete your online account. There is no email recovery.

When you create an account, the service receives confirmation that you passed the 13-and-over age check. Your date of birth is checked on your device and then discarded; it is not transmitted. Your device remembers that online access was approved.

While signed in, the game sends completed campaign structures, level identifiers, any borrowed support stones, and available stone-movement replays for verification. We store your account details, completed structures, completion dates, verified score, and data used to reconstruct your stone bank. Movement replays are processed to check that ranked builds follow the game physics; they are not stored in the account database. Attempt records identify the player and level, expire after seven days, and are removed during later attempt creation. We use this information to provide account sync, verify progress and rewards, and prevent false ranking scores.

Your garden names, garden images, game preferences, and full backup files are not uploaded by account sync.

Rankings are your choice

You are not listed by default. If you turn on “Show my generated name in rankings,” other signed-in players can access your generated name, account identifier, verified score, build count, and position on the board. Your private player code is never included. You can leave the board from the same setting. There is no player chat or public profile text.

Children and sharing

Stonehush is designed for ages six and older. Children under 13 can play all 101 levels, earn stones, and keep a garden on their device; they cannot create an online player account through the age check. Sharing files and contacting support require a separate adult check for each action. The adult's date of birth is checked locally and discarded. Cancelling the check keeps the action blocked.

Exported images and backups may contain arrangement names. Avoid real names, contact details, and school information. An adult chooses whether to save or share a file. Any destination they choose handles the file under its own privacy practices.

Hosting and security

The web app and online account service use Sites hosting and its Cloudflare infrastructure. Network requests can expose connection information such as IP addresses, request times, and browser or app headers to the hosting provider. These providers process information to deliver and secure the service. Stonehush does not use it to target ads. Online account requests use HTTPS. No game account or gameplay information is sold.

Retention and deletion

We keep live online account records and completed builds until you delete your account. In the game, open My player → Delete online account. You can also delete without installing the app at stonehush.com/delete-account.html using your private player code. After the service confirms deletion, the live account record, online progress, stone bank records, attempts, and ranking entry are removed. Account deletion is permanent.

Deletion removes the live Stonehush database records. Hosting request logs and backup copies may remain under the provider's normal retention practices. We do not keep a separate Stonehush archive of deleted player accounts.

Deleting an online account or signing out does not erase local builds or previously exported files. Use Settings → Reset this device, clear the app or browser's storage, or uninstall to remove local game data. Delete exported images and backup files separately. You can remove individual garden arrangements in the game.

Offline files and support

The web app can cache game files for offline play after its first full load. Importing a backup reads it on your device; it is not uploaded as a file. Account sync can still submit completed campaign builds after you sign in. If you contact support, we receive your email address and the information you send to answer the request. Do not email your private player code. Ask the support address above to remove support correspondence.
